Exapta is currently taking applications for Seasonal Sales Rep.

THE COMPANY: Striving to bring better seeding equipment and techniques to no-tillage cropping, our products and expertise further the business goals of farmers throughout the USA, Canada, and farther abroad. Exapta Solutions Inc. was founded with the singular vision of more effective no-tillage crop production, and we’re committed to bringing to market the tools and skills to accomplish that task. Exapta continues to grow and diversify, with the agility of a small company and the savvy and accolades that are the envy of the industry heavyweights.

THE POSITION: Seasonal sales rep., Dec – April (40 – 50 hr/wk during that time). Work from home! No relocation required. The cool part of the job is getting to interact with some of the cutting-edge no-tillers from around the world, and continual learning as we improve the technology and knowledge for the most effective way to establish vigorous crops in no-till. It’s also exciting to be a part of a sales team in a rapidly growing company. Otherwise, the job isn’t so glamorous. Travel to non-exotic places for tradeshows. Answer the phone & type up invoices all day.  But we need someone who is stoked about improving farmers’ success with their no-till efforts, and getting them the products and know-how to further that.

QUALIFICATIONS: We’re looking for someone with excellent communication ability and ‘people-skills,’ integrity and honesty, conscientiousness of details, and accuracy in their representation of our products and in handling all interactions with the public. The right person for the job will be outgoing, energetic, able to work independently and without close supervision (i.e., a self-starter), and enthusiastic for no-tillage cropping and the ag industry. He or she would be a good listener with superb telephone courtesy skills, and will relish working with farmers to assist in deployment of effective techniques for profitable no-till cropping.  We want someone who is proud of doing an important job and doing it well. We’re a young company with strong growth prospects: an exciting juncture for those who like to challenge themselves. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred, but not required. Hands-on knowledge of no-till farming and planters/drills required. Experience in ag sales is preferred, but not required. Solid computer skills needed. Do not apply if you don’t meet these requirements. Do not apply unless you feel strongly about no-till’s importance for agriculture’s future, and you are ready to work with vim and zeal.

COMPENSATION: Base salary $1,500 – 2,000/mo depending on skills, plus 1.5% commissions; profit-share; on top of this, another 10% of total pay goes to your retirement account.

APPLYING: Send your résumé and 4 work references to exapta@gmail.com
